Coloring Easter Eggs

Matthew, Connor, & I colored Easter eggs together this year. It was nice to spend some quality time with the boys. I think they both enjoyed it too. And Matthew ate more than his fair share when we were done. Connor tried one & didn't seem to care for it ~ he's become a more finicky eater as of late.

Our 8th Wedding Anniversary

Wow ~ has it really been 8 years already? Where has the time gone? Happy Anniversary, Honey!

My wedding day still ranks as one of the happiest days of my life, next to the days my beautiful boys were born. After the spring we've had this year, it's hard to believe how cold, wet, & windy it was on April 27, 2002. But it was still a wonderful day, despite the weather. I will always remember all of our friends & family who came out to support us & help us celebrate our special day. Your support meant the world to us, and it still does to this day. Thank you!

The bottom picture is from our honeymoon, when we went on a Caribbean cruise. We hope to go on another cruise someday ~ maybe when the boys get older. For now, we'll enjoy our time together as a family. The boys are growing up too fast as it is, so we won't rush it. :)

Ginger

The boys aren't the only ones who are glad spring's here. Ginger is also thrilled that the weather is warmer & she can spend more time playing outside with the boys. All 3 of them have a lot of fun in the backyard together.

Connor & His New Wagon

Connor got a brand new wagon for his birthday last November, and now that it's spring, he can finally enjoy it!

Basketball!

Matthew has really gotten into shooting hoops lately. We have our basketball hoop in the backyard down to its lowest setting, and we have a smaller basketball that Matthew has been using to shoot hoops with. He absolutely loves to play PIG & HORSE.

Sandbox Fun

Once it got warm enough to play outside, Connor was anxious to start playing in his sandbox. The sand was quite wet, not to mention frozen in spots (it was, after all, only March 14th), but Connor had fun anyway. He absolutely loves the outdoors!

Uncle Mark came along for the ride on the day that Dad helped with the railing. Matthew really looks up to his uncle, so he was thrilled to see him.

End of February Project

For the boys' safety, Dad helped us build a railing with spindles to our stairs leading to the basement/family room. Between building & painting, it was a full weekend project. The bottom picture shows one side with primer & the other with brown paint. I assure you that both sides are now brown. :) And now these stairs are more safe for my boys.

Early Spring

My irises are a good couple of weeks ahead of schedule in the backyard. The flowers started opening on Saturday. I never thought I'd see a daffodil & an iris open at the same time...
