Barnyard Update

I cleaned the family room today, and I found the rest of the animals for the barnyard for Connor. Yay! It probably won't be long until they start disappearing again, but at least I know they are still in this house!

"Barnyard" Fun!

I brought this barn up from the basement for Connor to play with before Christmas, and he really had fun with it - must be those McNamara genes! Now we just need to find the other animals - we found the cow & the sheep, but we are missing the rooster, the pig and the horse. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually.

Connor's Christmas Eve Morning

This was Connor's 2nd Christmas, but it was still very special, especially since he was only a month old at Christmastime last year. He still hasn't grasped the concept of opening presents, but we had a lot of fun together. He received a Busy Ball Activity Center from Mommy & Daddy and a Bouncing Zebra from Santa.

Matthew's Christmas Eve Morning

Christmas Eve was spent together as a family - Mommy, Daddy, Connor and Matthew. Matthew unwrapped two gifts on Christmas Eve morning. He got a digital camera from Santa and a Hot Wheels City from Mommy and Daddy. Yes, Santa came to our house a bit early, but he knew that we had plans with Grandpa and Grandma McNamara that night :) Matthew is lucky that we didn't make him wait, as he has become very inpatient when it comes to presents.

Matthew Visits Santa

Merry Christmas! Matthew & Daddy went to see Santa at Perkins in Red Wing on Tuesday, while Connor & Mommy napped. Matthew had a great time! He was the first kid that Santa came to see in the restaurant. And the goofy boy told Santa that he wanted a calendar for Christmas!

I'm Si-i-ick!

I'm home sick today. My stomach really pulled a number on me last night. My tummy is feeling better today, although all I've had to eat are saltines & chicken noodle soup. I'm just worn out & tired now. Hopefully I will be back to my old self tomorrow. I had a similar "bug" right before my birthday this year, and that time it took about 24 hours to get over, and thankfully, no one else in the household caught it. I'm hoping the same will hold true this time, as I don't want anyone to be sick for Christmas.

Well, I'd better take my nap now. Connor just went to sleep, and Matthew is at school, so the house is nice & quiet. I'm hoping to post some pictures of the boys later today, if I'm feeling up to it.

I Wanna Play With "Big Boy" Stuff!

Connor thought he was going to play Sequence with Matthew yesterday. We let him play with the chips a little bit, watching him very closely to make sure he didn't put them in his mouth.

Bed Hair

Poor Connor is probably going to hate that I took this picture, but I thought it was kind of cute. He had just woken up from his nap, and his daddy was trying to feed him some baby food.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Matthew and I decorated the Christmas tree on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. It gave us some quality mother/son time. I think it turned out pretty nice. I love that we have the kids' decorations to put on the tree now.

On another note, two of my friends from college were supposed to come and bake Christmas cookies today, but we postponed due to the threat of freezing rain. We will try for next weekend instead. I'm sure Matthew will want to help with the cookies too.

Connor's "Planned" Birthday

Today is the one-year anniversary of the day Connor was "supposed" to be born, according to the planned c-section. Instead, I went into labor on November 19, 2007. I had a c-section, as Connor was breech, but he was born at 36 weeks instead of 39. He will always be my 8-pound preemie! And nothing will ever top last Thanksgiving Day, as that is the day we came home from the hospital. We were so thankful for our new baby boy.

Since I didn't start this blog until after Connor's actual birthday, I've included some pictures from his birthday party. I also included a picture of Connor that was taken exactly a year ago today - just look at that chunky face!

New To Blogging

I am brand new to blogging. My cousins started blogging on this site, and I thought I would give it a try. It could be a good way to "document" the lives of my two wonderful sons. We'll see how it goes!
