Birthday Cake!

Ok ~ the presents were fun, but I think Connor's favorite part of his birthday party was the birthday cake! He wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do with the candles, but he sure knew what to do when it came time to eat the cake & ice cream! He made such a mess that we ended up changing his clothes when he was done eating. But it was so cute to watch him dig into that cake. :)

Connor's Birthday Presents

We celebrated Connor's 2nd birthday last Sunday, the 15th. Connor had a blast! He did most of the gift unwrapping by himself. Matthew still required our help at this point. Matthew is more of a neat nick, while Connor tends to be more destructive, so that could have something to do with it. :) Anyway, Connor got a lot of nice things, including a wagon, a tricycle, a racecar, an iguana, a train set, and some nice, new clothes. He also got some birthday money, with which we bought a truck, another train for his train set, and another couple pairs of pants. Connor wants to thank everyone for the gifts & the birthday wishes! He had a wonderful birthday ~ his mommy just can't believe he's already 2!

Halloween 2009

It was a fun Halloween at the Steffenhagen's. Both boys had a great time trick-or-treating this year. Matthew dressed up as a turtle for his Halloween party at school, but of course, he forgot to bring it home afterward, so we had to get him another costume for trick-or-treating!

A Day At Grandpa & Grandma's

We went to Mom & Dad's to celebrate my birthday last Sunday. It gave the boys a chance to spend some quality time with Grandpa & Grandma. Dad always has to get Connor with his beard. :) Matthew worked on a sticker book with Grandma, and then he played Go Fish with both Grandpa & Grandma. A good time was had by all.

October Snow

Here are some of the pictures I took of our October 23rd snowfall. I believe Red Wing got about 4 inches. Thank goodness it was gone the next day! Matthew wouldn't have minded, but I'm sure he'll have plenty of snow to play in as winter rolls around. :)

The maple tree in the middle picture actually came down today. The bottom of the trunk was rotting out, so we had to take it down before it fell on something.

Demiah Marie

Demiah Marie was born on Tuesday, October 20th. I am Demiah's Great-Great-Aunt. How many 33-year-olds can say that?!?!? Anyway, Matthew & I went to see her in the hospital the day after she was born. Isn't she just a doll? I think I'm going to like having a new baby girl in the family to spoil. :)
