A Boring & Somewhat Productive Weekend

I miss NFL football already, and Super Bowl Sunday isn't even here yet. :( I hate this time of year - football is over, and it is too cold to do anything outside. What's a girl to do? Sure, I played with my kids & watched a couple of movies with my husband, but I'm bored. And when I get bored, I clean.

We picked up a cheap, new vacuum cleaner on Saturday, as our Hoover WindTunnel isn't working - it broke last weekend. So of course, I had to try out the new vacuum when we got it home. I vacuumed every carpeted room in the house! The thing that I love about this new vacuum is how lightweight it is. I will keep using it to clean the stairs, even once we get the more expensive vacuum cleaner fixed.

I also gave the master bedroom a much-needed dusting. That's a good project to have out of the way. Like my computer room, which I dusted last weekend, the master bedroom has a lot of knick knacks & pictures to dust, along with the furniture. It takes time.

And I did the usual laundry. It's amazing how much laundry accumulates for a family of four in just one week!

First Bath in the Tub

Connor took his first bath in the tub on Sunday. He had been bathing in the kitchen sink up until this point, which he is getting much too big for. My baby's growing up way too fast! Anyway, Connor screamed bloody murder thoughout the bath, clinging to the side of the tub for dear life. He was not fond of this new idea! Oh, well - he will eventually learn to like it. Matthew didn't like taking baths in this house at first either, but now he loves them!

Goofy Boys

My boys were being goofy last night. They decided that it would be great fun to spit together. They were both facing me, so Dave got up & got the camera quickly & handed it to me. It isn't often that these two are happy together or with each other, so we had to catch them while we could! So I took some pictures, and then we told them that they needed to stop spitting. They did - eventually. :)

Hmmm...What's This?

Connor took interest in the film on the windows this week. He is our little explorer! I thought the picture where he sees his reflection was pretty neat. After we were done with our "mini photo shoot", I pulled Connor away from the window so that he wouldn't poke holes in the film. We are trying to keep the cold out, after all!

Bowling

We went bowling as a family last Saturday afternoon. We had a blast! Dave & I have gotten really rusty on our bowling skills - you wouldn't know that we were members of a bowling league before Matthew was born. :) Anyway, we just paid for an hour, and I was just starting to warm up in our second game, when our time ran out. Oh, well. We had a good time together, and that's all that really matters. :)

Ginger

Here is a picture of our dog, Ginger. She will be 3 years old at the end of February. Pretty, isn't she? She's not the brightest dog on the block, but she's great with the boys, and they have a lot of fun with her.

Molars

Connor has molars! He already has at least 3, maybe 4 of them! The weird thing is that his molars came in before his eye teeth. I spotted the first one during the holidays. Goofy boy! He sure keeps us on our toes!
