Matthew decided to give himself a haircut last night. He cut it so short on top that the barber had no choice but to shave it all off. He now has a very short buzz cut that looks kind of silly on a fair-skinned, blonde-haired little boy, but he looked even more ridiculous with his cut. Oh, well. It will make a good scrapbook page one day, and his beautiful blonde hair will eventually grow back.

Doesn't every kid do this at least once? Silly boy! I'm sure it will grow back in no time though!
Yes - the barber assured us that this isn't the first time a kid has done this, and it certainly won't be the last. Some cut their own AND their sibling's hair, so thankfully he didn't do that! And it is a positive that he is a boy - a buzz cut would look really silly on a girl!

of course he had to do it in the winter too! haha... :)
My mother-in-law said the new haircut would be kind of cute - in the summertime. :)
